Wow, what a night! Our 30th Burn’s Night celebration was a roaring success, and we couldn’t have done it without every single one of you. Whether you were dancing the ceilidh, enjoying the delicious Scottish feast, or simply soaking in the music, you helped make this night truly special!

A massive thank you to our talented piper and ceilidh band who set the perfect tone for the evening! The home-cooked, three-course meal was another triumph- we did the Scots proud!

A special thank you to Chris Miller for delivering a brilliant Toast to the Lassies. His warm and witty words celebrated not just the women of Thrussington, but the wonderful community we share. Cheers to the lassies! 🥂

We’d also like to honour Tony Geary, whose legendary Scottish accent (despite not actually being Scottish!) became a Burn’s Night tradition. Chris Brown kindly stepped in this year and gave a fantastic address to the haggis, honouring Tony’s legacy with grace and humour. It was a fitting tribute.

A huge shout-out to our amazing volunteers—From the PTFA crew preparing the meal, to Thomas the Caterer for providing the tableware again, to the bar staff, waiters, and everyone who donated raffle prizes, we couldn’t have done it without you.

Thanks to all of you, we raised nearly £2,500 for Thrussington Primary School! This will make a massive difference for our kids, funding new resources and activities that will benefit them for years to come.

Burn’s Night is more than just a celebration—it’s a reminder of how lucky we are to live in such a supportive, generous village. Whether you’re a parent, grandparent, or local resident, your support is what makes these events possible.

Looking ahead to next year, we’d love to see even more faces, and if you’re keen to help out—whether through donations, volunteering, or just lending a hand—we’d love to hear from you. Let’s keep this tradition going strong!

Thank you once again to everyone who made this night unforgettable. Here’s to continuing our fantastic community spirit and supporting our children at Thrussington Primary!

Slàinte! (That’s “cheers” in Scottish Gaelic, by the way!)
